Arrival Story:
I had been emailing both pembroke and cardigan corgi breeders since feb of 2005, getting prices, information, read a book on the corgis to learn more about them. i already planned on getting a bengal kitten and didnt think i'd get a puppy anytime soon. one day i was looking at my local newspaper site and on the classifieds i saw there were corgis for sale in my town! which was rare, most i found were either way expensive or far away. this one i could actually go see! i called the lady, (this was her second litter she wasnt a hard core breeder) and i drove out that saturday to see the three male (tri colored) puppies she had left. one had a split collar, one had a fully white collar with floppy ears and half brown/white nose markings, and one had a white collar with ears up. at first i chose the one with the ears up. but noticed this one other pup resting his head on my leg. and he seemed mellow, he would play, but then just randomly walk off into a corner and lay down..he looked like a little bear! within time i felt as tho this puppy was asking me to take him. while i would have taken all three if i could! i ended up with the full white collar and half brown/white nose markings.
Bio:
Well Phoenix has a brother named River, so you can figure out the source of their names (River Phoenix) but for a while i did debate a lot of other names, but phoenix fit him, and i already had planned naming my kitten River. Hes the most friendly puppy, eveyrone in my complex loves him and always asks if hes this friendly with everyone, and he is. If his health checks out fine i would love to use him as a stud and later after college and more knowledge hope to have a litter of my own someday to let other experience these wonderful dogs! i love all dog breeds tho i've had cairn terriers, dalmations, collie mixes..i love all dogs!

Well! Mommy found this site after being on thecatsite.com! She was excited to make this profile for me but it has been a long day! She had to take my brother River to the vet because hes been puking and hopefully he'll be ok! I have had some boring days since River's always asleep. I am about to go into my rest area and go to sleep it is waaaaay past my bedtime! I hope to meet many other corgis and puppies and any other dog for that matter! good night!
