Weekend at Nana's

I spent this past weekend at my Nana's house in Eastchester. Thats in New York. She has a really big garden apartment. Which I love running around in. I spent most of the weekend sitting on her lap and licking her face!. Nana has a pretty parakeet Hillary. But I pretty much ignored the her except when she woke me up when the sun came up! Nana also has a big chestnut tree outside her back door. Everytime I came in after my walks, I always had a chestnut in my mouth!. Just like at home when I bring in rocks and worms!

I went to a Pap Party!

Last Sunday, I went to a Papillon Party. There were 5 other dogs there. Cosmo (whose mom gave the party), Brandy, Simon (who are brother and sister), Velvet and Pippin.
I still get shy around other dogs. I am used to cats! But after a while I wasn't that shy anymore and I had a lot of fun.

My First Entry

Sunday was very scary. My sister cat Samantha wasn't feeling well. She was okay most of the day. But around 2 pm she started coughing , gagging and foaming at the mouth. Both Stan the other dumb cat and I were scared and worried about her. My moms came back early because it was raining and saw she was in distress.

They immediately took her to the Emergency Clinic since the vet is closed on Sunday. A place I've never been and hope I never visit. They took her my crate! But thats okay. I love Sammy. The clinic had Sammy on oxygen over night and gave her some medicine . The medicine really made her feel better. By the morning she was okay and my humans took her to a new vet (since we didn't like the old one very much since he wasn't every nice to me when I had my big OPERATION).

The new vet was very nice to Sammy. His name is Dr. McNamara. He looked at a bunch of very expensive pictures called x-rays and ultrasound and saw that Sammy has a problem with her heart. Its called HCM -Feline Hypertropic Cardiomyopathy.
He prescribed a bunch of medicine which she will have to take forever. But that's cool. Sammy came home yesterday afternoon. Stan and I were so happy to see her! Though Stan was smelling her funny. He must have thought she smelled like the Vets office.

Today Tall Mom gave Sammy her medicine in my food dish. At first I didn't like it. But in time I know I will learn to share. Just like I shared my crate when Sammy first went to the hospital.

I'm just glad she's home now. I love Sammy.
