Arrival Story:
Our loving, beautiful and smart Dixie was put to sleep on July 6th. Our house was not a home. I had started to call around to Border Collie breeders to see if there were any puppies available or when they we're planning for their next puppy family. To my amazement there was a puppy available. She was already named Trixie, eight weeks old and the breeders live right down the street from our good friends which live almost an hour away from Sylvania. If you look at Dixie's page you will notice that one of her nicknames was Trixie. Right away I knew someone was looking over us. Now we have a new loving, smart and beautiful puppy. I know she will never replace our Dixie but she has brought smiles back into our home.

My life as a dog.........

Trixie in 2008

I enjoy giving my parents hugs and kisses all the time. They think I'm the most loving dog in the world. Watching them, I don't think they need the extra loving. Now that I think about it...there is no such thing as not needing more love.

Taking Care of My Parents,

Trixie

Been Awhile

I've been so busy! I have learned to get slippers for both Mom and Dad! The funny thing is that I won't get just one slipper at a time. I do whatever is possible to bring both slippers.
I have also learned to play dead even though it scares my Mom. I know there are agility trained Borders out there, but I do okay getting the paper and singing when ever called upon. My favorite song is "Let it Snow" which doesn't go over to well when it's ninety degress outside.
Hugs and kisses seems to be the duty asked for the most often. I'm gettting pretty good at that command. Kisses are my favorite. I've been compared to Mick Jagger and can really lay one on. Take Care all! Thanks for reading.

Training

Ok, they've got me. Mom and Dad have found the ultimate training tool, the plastic bag. I never thought they would figure this one out. I can't stand the sound plastic bags make. Now, whenever I do something I'm not suppose to they shake these things at me. Drives me nuts!

Barking@ you,
Trixie
