Arrival Story: One cold October evening our whole family went along with our son who was asked to preach at a small country church. As we walked up the steps to to enter, there was a small cold hungry puppy sitting right against the door whining. We thought it must belong to someone already inside the church so we just gave it a pat and went on in. All during the service we could hear that little puppy now and then whining. After church everyone was standing around outside talking and no one knew who the pup belonged to. Someone who lived in the area commented that he had seen several of those pups wandering around so it was probably a drop-off . Not wanting to leave the little girl cold and hungry we took her home, gave her a bath and some food. We tried unsuccessfully to find her owner, if she even had one. So after contacting people in that neighborhood and the local veterinary clinic we ended up keeping her. We named her "Sundee" because we met her on a Sunday.

Bio: Sundee has a good home with us on our farm and is one of our outdoor dogs. She has been spayed and vaccinated. We never have been able to figure out what mix of breeds she is. Sundee is a good watchdog. Her unusual trait is that if we ever scold her she makes the funniest face we have ever seen a dog make, showing us obviously that she feels really ashamed and dislikes having any bad behavior noticed.
On Thursday November 15, 2012, we had to put our old Sundee to sleep. She had a very large fatty tumor, was getting weaker, thinner and it was very hard for her to get around anymore. We finally made the decision to call the vet to come out to our house and put her to sleep and then laid her to rest in a pasture on our farm. A sad day.
