Arrival Story: 40 below, rochester wisconson, (read lots of snow) i was in a cardbord box with all of my littermates ( 14 of em) someone found us at the side of the highway and took us to the pound, so i went from squatting to jail, then i saw this skinny guy and this weirdo with blue hair, they looked like pushovers, so i convinced them to pay my bail. ha. i had the wierdo saying- i want the one with the broken tail thats barking at me.
then i met this little thing that i thought was a cat, but it turned out to be a weiner dog, he calls himself orri. well we all got in a van and went on a big road trip to seattle, WA.
and i never peed in the van once.

as many of you know kanya was very sick with organ failure. on feb 26 she was euthanised at home. she had a buddhist monk present and he performed a complete buddhist funerary service. many of kanya's human friends were present and i am very thankful for all the love and support from them. it is very hard to adjust to life without kanya- going home to an empty house, i still start to call her into the bedroom at night or put my leftovers by her dish or go to call her when i spill food. walking around the city without her is hard, too. i miss her dearly.

my older (but littler) "brother" orri (the weinerdog)
died on the first of january. we are all very sad and we miss his tenatious garbage finding, digging, barking, bossy self. he was 14 so it wasnt sudden so we are thankful for that.
but that makes both my brothers in one year. my dad is really sad. i try to keep him cheered up and he tries to take me for a good run in the park at least once a day.
i get to snuggle with dad more often now.

so today my dad and i were dog sitting jazzy, shes my best friend but its more crowded on the bed when she is over and we all take a nap.
today my dad took us all to the park and right away jazzy thought it would be fun to run away. my dad tried to catch her but he was way too slow, so i corralled her back to the park. we stayed at the park for hours. dora and diablio came to the park and we all walked home together. jazzys dad came and picked her up. then late at night jazzy madison and i went to the park again.
(our parents came too but we tried to have fun anyways.)
i got an email from a cute pug named lucy, shes my new dogster friend.
now im settling down for a long winters nap.
