Arrival Story:
Miss Pinky died of Severe Conjestive Heart Failure on February 4th, 2006. We rushed her to the Emergency Vet in Dover, Delaware. But she was too weak to continue, in severe pain, and her x-ray showed her heart was about 3 times it's normal size. Tumors were also noted on the X-ray, and it was felt by everyone that she needed to be let go peacefully. She has been having trouble over the past few years with Arthritus in her hind quarter, and Cataracts in both eyes. She is running free and pain free now. We had adopted Bo-Bo 5 months before we met Pinky. Bo-Bo had a bad Separation Anxiety problem. When we met Pinky, she had just been off the track a few days. All of the Greyhounds that came near her to sniff her, she snapped at, and growled at. Except for Bo-Bo. They hit it off immediately, and were inseperable all day. They stood next to each other all day. If Bo-Bo turned his head to the left, so did Pinky. When it was time to go home, She was crying because Bo-Bo was leaving, and he was crying because she wasn't coming with him. That was May of 1995. She has been with us ever since.

We are members of a group called "Greyhounds Reach The Beach". On out Message Board, all of the dogs get together and chat. They call it Tic Ticking. There is also a Royal Cast in this group. There is a King, Queen, Princes, Princesses, Knights, Lords, Ladies, Barons, & so on. This group meets every year on Columbus Day Weekend in Dewey Beach Delaware. This year will be the 10th year.

At approximately 3:00pm on February 4th 2006 Miss Pinky crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. Miss Pinky had been living with us since we adopted her in May of 1995. She was a pretty shy Hound up until the past few years when she turned into a Social Butterfly. Before, if any dog came up to her and sniffed her, she would growl & snap at them. But lately, she would be the first to go up to them and say "Hello". She was always a quiet hound. She loved attention, a good tasty, a comfy bed to snooze on, and being with us. When her first companion (her soul mate) Bo-Bo died of Cancer, she was devistated. She would walk around the house looking for him & wimpering. The same thing when Rocket Ron who she chose as a companion died. A week after Rocket Ron died, she let Sir Kit Kat get close to her, and we adopted him. Now he is moarning the loss as we are for our beloved Miss Pinky.
