Arrival Story:
My owners told me how I came to be part of their family. They had a corgi named Tango who passed away in the summer of 2003, and waited some time before they were ready to add another dog to the family. Fortunately, they decided they were ready at the perfect time--because they found me! They had considered getting a different breed of dog--one leaning towards a poodle (the breed he had grown up with) and the other thinking about bigger dogs--but in the end they decided that another corgi would be best. Though my feline family members both came from the shelter, my owners decided that they would get a purebred puppy this time after several unsuccessful attempts to find a dog at the shelter that was a perfect fit for them. They did a search on the Internet and found my friend Tryst , who had the same breeder as me! Tryst's owner recommended they look at the same breeder, and that is where they found me! The breeder listened to what kind of puppy they were looking for, and told them that there was a perfect match available. I was 4.5 months old when they visited me, and I showed off how much I loved to play with other dogs and also how much I loved people--even new people. I went home with them the same day!

I've got a wrinkle in my right ear (my owner's say it gives me "personality," whatever that means). When I was a lot younger, my right ear would bend backwards a little bit. The breeder would massage it, hoping it would help me grow out of it, but apparently I have sensitive blood vessels because I ended up with a hematoma! It was drained and everything is okay now, but it left me with a little bit of a wrinkle. Apparently, my owners actually named me using the wrinkle as inspiration--the name Wallace was taken from A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle after one of its characters, Charles Wallace.

Today I helped my owners create my very first webpage. My owners like to take pictures of me; you can see them on flickr.
