I was adopted from the Waukesha Humane Society by a really nice girl. She was the first person to play with me when I went up for adoption at the Humane Society. I had a lot of fun with her. She came back to pick me up the next day and took me to my new home. I immediately made myself at home in her home (see photo). She plays with me when I want to play and leaves me alone when I want to nap. She feeds me when I am hungry and gives me lots of love.

Vet visit and puppy parlor

I had a blood test on Saturday. My blood count is 56. Dr. Jackie thinks I am doing well enough to stop taking Prednisone. The only medication that I am taking now is Azathioprine, which I take every other day. Melissa puts my pill on a small piece of bread with peanut butter over the top of the pill. It's like a little treat!

I also went to the puppy parlor on Saturday. Robin the groomer called last week to let Melissa know that she had grooming academy students coming in and they wanted a cocker spaniel for demonstration. She offered a free grooming and we took her up on the offer. I am very handsome now and I smell really nice because I also had a bath.

Health Update

I was diagnosed with autoimmune hemolytic anemia in July, 2008. I was very sick and received a blood transfusion that saved my life. Since the transfusion I have had regular blood tests to make sure that my body is still producing enough red blood cells. I am being weaned off of my medication and am responding really well to my treatment.

Christmas! and my new trick

I am looking forward to Christmas. I always get fun presents and I can even open them myself.

My new trick is to sneak upstairs when Melissa is not looking. Then I go into the bathroom and take out whatever is in the garbage can. Sometimes I chew on tissues and make a big mess. It's fun.
