Arrival Story:
My Husband wanted a puppy-I wanted new carpets. He talked me into getting into the car and looking for this place that sold Lab pups. We passed the Fraser Animal Hospital and I told him that I read somewhere that they run an animal rescue too. We were very lucky because they were expecting two Lab mix adult dogs in the next few days and called us as soon as they arrived. We choose our Bear less than an hour after she got there. She was terrified, filthy and skinny but we saw her potential. She is the best dog ever and we would not trade her for any pure bred dog in the world.

A Day in the Life of a Hungry Dog

That's no puppy!

I like the new baby puppy a lot. I thought we were getting a puppy like Peanut was, and I hate Peanut puppies! They want to play and nip at my heels. I just want to be left alone and puppies need too much attention. But the new baby is great. He doesn't pull on my tail or bite me like Peanut did when she was new. He lets me sleep and doesn't steal my treats like Peanut does now. I can deal with this puppy. Good puppy!

It is not often that my folks leave me out of my crate when they go away. I like to run around the house and look out each window to see if they are there. Sometimes, I will put my paw through the screen just to let them know that I was keeping watch. However, I am running out of screen windows to mark. When I get board of watching for them, I will go to the kitchen and try to open the door to the trash can. Usually, there is something good in there to snack on. If not, I will check inside the refridgerator and freezer. I can usually find a stick of butter or some leftovers in there among all the gross vegatables. Bacon grease and ice cream are my favorites. Last time I was alone, I found a whole loaf of bread on the counter! What a treat! I was so full that I did not get any treats when they got home. The bread was good, but it really did not compare to the box of Krispy Creme donuts they left me once, a long time ago. I wonder why they don't me stay out of my crate every time they go out?

I love the snow!!! I got to spend the whole day outside with my dad and we moved the snow all around. He would move it out of the driveway, and I would try to knock it all back in. Best of all, you can eat it!!! Its like ice treats are everywhere and whenever your hungry you can just stop and eat the snow. But don't eat it if its yellow.
