 Quick Bio:
Likes: RIDING IN THE CAR (he refuses to get out, no matter how great the final destination may be), chasing squirrels, flashlights, ANY blinking lights on the wall, barking at ceiling corners, sprawling out on whatever mom's reading, playing hard to get, TUG

Pet-Peeves: when the pretty lights go away, not being taken for more car rides, having seizures, when alpha-dad comes home from vacation & kicks him off the couch, commercials (ie the Meow Mix song, Pizza Hut's talking oven mitt)

Favorite Toy: his rope-a-dope, a small fuzzy pink scrap of fabric (leftover from his favorite stuffed animal/rope toy he destroyed in less than 3 min), squeaky things, anything with a LIGHT, his orange nubby squeaker football

Favorite Food: spaghetti !!!

Favorite Walk: riding in the car ~ he prefers it to any walk anywhere any time

Best Tricks: being able to differentiate between several toys when asked to find each one by name, navigating 4 lanes of traffic on his escape route to our house without a single scratch, breaking out of & into houses when he's feeling lonely & in a travelin mood

Arrival Story: Shep was a dog who was unhappy with his former living situation.
So he ran away from his original home more than two dozen times over the course of a year, crossing a VERY busy highway in order to do so. Although we returned him MANY times to his 'rightful owners', he continued to return to us again & again. For company, for security, for kindness. Once he even broke *into* our house through the basement & waited for us in the living room until we came home, wagging his tail like the happiest fuzziest burglar ever. Eventually, 'his people' just stopped coming back for him, and we decided he was meant to be ours. Or rather, we were meant to be his.
He found us. Befriended us. Chose us. Adopted us.
We finally got the hint.

Bio: My poor Shep suffers from epileptic seizures sometimes. He's one of the most fiercely intelligent & sensitive dogs I've ever had the privilege of knowing... but also one of the most damaged... because of his past, & because of his faulty cerebral wiring. Despite any of that though, he's incredibly loyal, devoted, compassionate, forgiving, gentle, full of wisdom, amazingly cuddly, & a great ally to have by your side. He actually lives in Homer City, PA with my folks & not in CA with me & Maxx... but he remains, as always, my family... and so I list him here.

Forums Motto: Shep ~ Burglar of Love
