Arrival Story:
When Foxy was three years old she turned up, quite ill, at the local Humane Society :-( My mom happened to be at the pound that day, so she adopted her and took her to the vet ~ but my husband and I quickly "adopted" her a couple of days later. It was love at first sight! Within a couple of weeks, Foxy was healthy and happy.

Bio:
Foxy has lived a very long and happy life, but on May 22, 2011, she was alone at home when an EF-5 tornado tore through Joplin, Missouri. It destroyed our house with Foxy inside, and somehow at 11 years old and weighing 10 lb, she escaped the house with every wall collapsed. Due to the kind strangers who found Foxy and helped restore our little family later that night, she overcame her injuries of a broken pelvis and leg very quickly. She has now relocated to a nearby city and enjoys a new, huge backyard to play in. She is more playful than ever - Foxy is enjoying her golden years.
