Likes: Getting belly rubs, going swimming and my big brother, Andy

Pet-Peeves: Fences and doors that won't let me out to explore the world or at least the neighborhood.

Favorite Toy: I love my squirrel, bunny and cow dollies

Favorite Food: Everything - cheese, triscuits, tortillas, bread, popcorn but mom doesn't let us have people food too much, she says she doesn't want us to be little beggars.

Favorite Walk: Following mom wherever she goes in the house.

Best Tricks: Sitting up on my hind legs like a gopher until someone pays attention to me, then I fall over to my back to get my belly rubbed

Arrival Story: A friend and I went to Canton, TX for First Monday Trade Days, a monthly flea market type thing. Canton has an area called "Dog Alley" where breeders from all over bring all kinds of pets and farm/ranch animals to sell. I saw this tiny little long haired dapple mixed in with a black and tan litter. He seemed the most tranquil of the bunch. I fell in love with his sweet little face and eyes which one is brown, the other blue. I had been hesitant to get another dog because Andy was my first dog and we are very close, I felt if I brought another dog into our home and Andy didn't get along with it, then I would be creating a lot of stress for him. But, I'd been toying with the idea because I wanted him to have a playmate while I was at work. My friend found a chocolate lab, but we needed to think it over. We agreed that if they were still there after we went shopping at the Trade Days, then it was meant to be. Over 5 hours later, we went back and my Bailey was one of 2 left from his litter of 5 or 6. It was meant to be : )
I don't think Andy had the same feeling when I brought Bailey home though, he was very upset with me. He paid no attention to Bailey and would leave the room when I came in. Very different from his usual behavior of following my every move and sitting in my lap when I wasn't moving. When he figured out Bailey was staying for good, about a month later, he began to take to him... sort of...now, they are inseparable.
