Likes:
Taking walks in the park, playing with other dogs, playing fetch, meeting new people, getting treats & affection.

Pet-Peeves:
Baths & nail clipping

Favorite Toy:
A stick and a Ty Beanie Baby Puppy named Mugsy. She also loves to kick around empty plastic water jugs.

Favorite Food:
She loves human food and only eats her own as a last resort if we won't give her what we're eating. She loves any treats with bacon flavor and also likes kitty and horse poopy.

Favorite Walk:
She loves to walk anywhere but we take her to the the park so we can take her off the leash and let her run free.

Best Tricks:
Sit, lay, settle and wait.

Arrival Story:
Jessie came from a bad home. My sister's friend owned her mother and they weren't feeding her enough so Jessie's mother ate her puppies for food. Jessie was the last puppy left alive and my sister took her home at 4 weeks so she wouldn't be eaten also. My Dad wouldn't let her keep Jessie and I couldn't bear to think they would put her in the pound so my husband and I took her home. She had fleas and worms and she was so young that we didn't know if she would make it but today she is happy and completely healthy and both worm and flea free.

Bio:
We're not sure all the breeds that are in Jessie but she looks most like a German Shephard and we found a male Malamute Husky that looked exactly like her so we think she might have some of that in her also although she is small for both breeds. Her mother's owners said she had husky and wolf in her but I don't know if that's true. Jessie is very, very energetic and she literally will bounce off walls if she doesn't get at least one walk/run a day (we let her off the leash in the park and she runs while we walk). She loves EVERYBODY and EVERY dog, even those who aren't friendly. She doesn't understand any one or any dog that show signs of not reciprocating her love. She just keeps on loving them. She gets so excited when we're about to take a walk that she runs to the door and starts jumping as high as she can which is several feet (sometimes it seems like five feet!) in the air. She is very smart and knows when we're about to take a walk. She knows when we start putting on our shoes and her Daddy gets his wallet and keys that we're leaving soon and she'll stand by the drawer in the kitchen where we keep her leash. As soon as the leash is out of the door, she starts jumping around and it takes a while to get her settled enough that we can even get it on her. I love her to pieces but sometimes I can't wait until she gets a little older and doesn't have so much energy. She'll wear you out!

I'm spayed!

I don't like going to the vet because I usually get stuck with needles and last time everything got all fuzzy and when I woke up, I had stitches in my paw! So I wasn't too excited to go back. This was the worst time ever and they did something to my stomach and it took me more than a week to heal! But now I am back up to full steam so I just hope Mom and Dad realize what bad people they are and won't take me back EVER AGAIN! If it gets any worse, I may never recover and I don't think they could survive without me.

Lots of things have happened since I last wrote. I got to go swimming in a swimming pool (but I didn't really like it), I got to play with a Great Dane, I escaped the backyard on Thanksgiving while mom and Dad were out of town and got to run around the neighborhood and now that Christmas is just around the corner, I have lots of fun taking ornaments off the tree and eating them. But Mom always gets those round glass ones away from me before I can break them. I love winter because of my husky blood and I'm most active this time of year. I'm driving Mom and Dad crazy but I can't help it--I just feel so happy that it's cold.

I'm free!

Today I got my stitches out and they removed the cone around my head. Mom and Dad let me run free in the park for the first time since I hurt my paw and it was fantastic! I found some fresh dog poopie right away and rolled in it which always seems to make Mom and Dad mad but I don't get it. I love rolling in dog poop and do it several times a month. The bad thing about it, though, is that I always have to get a bath afterward and they gave me one as soon as we were home. I'm getting used to baths so I didn't fight to get away as much but I still don't like it. But I guess it's worth it just to have the chance to roll in poo.
