Arrival Story:
We decided to get Jill because our first dog, Jack, was lonely and needed a doggy companion. We went to a shelter and saw a litter of rottweiler/german shepherd/mastiff mix puppies. We knew that they were for us and picked one out. We picked the most energetic and friendly pup. We frequently went to visit her. On one occasion, we saw a puppy eating poop. Much to our horror, we discovered that it was ours! We broke that habit early, though. Another time, we were playing with her, and she had her snout in the fence that enclosed her pen. She ended up falling asleep right there! We were so excited when we got to take her home. We decided to name her Jill. She was our first puppy and gave us some moments we will never forget.
UPDATE - 5/19/2006 checkup Jilly weighs 88 lbs.
UPDATE - 1/5/2011 Today Jilly was diagnosed with osteosarcoma
UPDATE - 7/19/2011 Jilly was put to sleep today after a long fight with her illness. We are so lucky to have shared 10 wonderful years with such a loving animal. We love you, Jilly.

I like spring but I miss the snow. I like to be cold much more than being hot. I spend a lot of time in the basement because the floor is nice and cool.
Football is still one of my favorite games. Lately I've taken up playing basketball. I can steal the ball with my paws but it's frustrating that I can't pick it up with my teeth!!
