What's up dawgs? I hope every pup is doing well.
I am writing tonight to offer up some advice to all the curious pups (like me!) out there...stay as far away from skunks as you possibly can. If you go in for a close up sniff ,you may get sprayed directly in the face with some very nasty smelling "tinkle" like I did. Didn't that nasty skunk realize that I just wanted to say Hi and introduce myself??? He totally over-reacted, dawgs...I come in peace!
To make matters worse, I got in trouble with Mom after it happened. You see dawgs, to investigate that skunk I had to go over into the wooded section of my yard where the shed is...I suspect he lives under there. Mom has told me many times that this is forbidden because it's where Dad keeps all the dangerous tools and lawn stuff that us pups shouldn't be messing with. I didn't get grounded or anything...Mom took pity on me and said what happened to me was punishment enough.
Mom washed my face and head with tomato juice many times when it happened. Then when Dad came home he did the same and also washed me with my oatmeal shampoo. This only made the smell tolerable, it didn't get rid of it...I think it just has to fade out in time now.
I smell kinda bad still so nobody wants to share big cuddles with the B-man right now. I hate not getting my daily cuddles, dawgs...I really hope this smell goes away FAST...sigh.
Gotta go dawgs, take care.

Hi Dawgs,
This past Saturday, Mom & Dad took Luna & I to the White Mountains in New Hampshire. Luna was wimpering "are we there yet???" every 5 minutes, but I was a good quiet boy in the car. I love rides in the car...I usually just sprawl out and sleep on the back seat.
When we got there, we drove down the Kancamangus Highway. The "Kanc" is a road that winds through the White Mountains National Forrest. Mom & Dad took us on a long hike up the Champney Falls Trail. I sure did love leading Dad through the woods! The trail was only about 2 miles long but it got pretty steep and kind of rocky as we went up. Dad said that I did a great job of following Mom through the woods and climbing the rocks. I even carried my own backpack! Even though I had my own water, it was alot of fun drinking from the cold mountain stream then plopping myself down right in the stream...ahhh. It cooled me right down! We met lots of people and a few other dogs on our hike too. Even though it was alot of fun, it was alot of work...by the time we got back to the truck - I couldnt wait to jump in. Luna and I slept the entire 2 hour ride home.
Ooooh, I hear Mom making up our dinners....gotta go.

I am sorry to report that I am still terribly bored. Today, Mom said we can only be in the yard for very short periods of time, then we are to come right inside. This is because the heat index today is up to 115!!! I do not mind that she wants us in...when it is hot like this I run out, do my business, then run straight back to the door. Thankfully, tomorrow and the rest of the week is supposed to be alot cooler. Mom said we'd definitely goto the dog park in Portsmouth one of those days then take a long walk up there. That will be fantastic! I cannot wait to get out and enjoy the summer again.
I hear Mom taking the red bones (Kong bones stuffed with a bit of cream cheese and a treat) that she made Luna and I earlier out of the freezer...I had better goto my spot and lay down nicely so that I can have mine! I love when Mom makes those because it gives us something to do on days like this! Yummmmmmmo........
