Arrival Story:
A woman bought her (as a puppy) from a pet shop for her 3 kids. After 3 days she found it overwhelming to care for a dog and was planning to take her to the pound. A friend of hers started frantically asking around to find the dog a home. Somehow they found me and I agreed to adopt the dog sight unseen.
She loves all her adoptive brothers and sisters (5 cats, an iguana, and a parrot).
Bio:
I would have preferred to adopt an older dog since they are harder to place, but having tried and failed (sobe the iguana, who was rescued from the streets of Brooklyn when he was young and just 13" long, is very territorial and would not accept an older dog and I cannot argue with a now five-foot long reptile), I had no choice but to adopt a younger dog.

Mom and I met the coolest people and dogs this m0rning in Prospect Park!

I had so much fun running with them and splashing in the lake!
And mom was so happy to meet other vegans like herself!
All in all we had a great time! Hopefully we will see them again next week!
