Arrival Story:
One snowy day in Cleveland, OH, I decided I wanted a dog. I looked in the newspaper and found a farm that raised Pomeranians. Unfortunately, it was snowing heavily and the farm was a good 2 hours away. I returned to the newspaper and found an ad for a Jack Russell just 10 minutes away. I went to see her and she was the only dog who hadn't been adopted. I held her and she seemed okay with me though she did tell me that I'd have to change her name from Cookie just as soon as I was able. I took her home and the rest is, you know, history.

Bio:
Whelan's description of herself: "I'm a constant challenge. I love humans and am basically sweet but I can be dominant with other dogs. I bit a string (okay 2, but it's not bad) of pugs in the face before my mami started training me. Now I've channeled my smarts and uppityness into doing tricks. I can roll over, beg, do sit-ups and lie on my side on command. If only my mami wouldn't adopt other dogs, I'd get to sleep in her bed and run the house like I'd like."
