Favorite Food:
Food. Grass is a good substitute. Twigs aren't bad in a pinch.

Elysian Park (in Echo Park, CA) or Arnold Arboretum in Boston, MA

Arrival Story:
Nika was being held hostage at a pet store for 3 months. She would stand in the window barking SOS in Morse code to passersby. One wintery day the pet store door was open, I went in and saw her being held by one of her jailers. She craned her neck towards me and pitifully asked me to take her away from all that. When I held her, I noticed she had an eye infection and a bloated, worm-filled belly. Her jailer told me that her time with them had almost run out. I brought my Jack Russell Whelan back to meet her and Nika promptly peed all over the pet store floor. Whelan looked at me and said, "She's pathetic...but if you must," and my boyfriend and I brought Nika home the next day. She had never been outside so she was shivering but happy to be free.

Bio:
She's a total sweetheart. She's sneaky and tries to scrounge food whenever she can. Also, likes to get her sister Whelan in trouble by sticking her face or butt in her face until Whelan growls and gets sent off to lay down.
