Arrival Story:
The children found Spike on a walk he was starved to the bone and scared to death. He was frantic and disoriented and was almost hit by a car as he crossed the highway. He was about 7 moths at the time and we assume maybe an unwanted x-mas present... Based on some injuries he had at the time and his fear of driving in cars we also assumed that he might have been thrown out of a driving car, in time however he concerned that fear but was never fully comfortable in cars. For the longest time he suffered from high separation anxiety ...while it did get better with time it never went away fully...

Bio:
Spike was a solid member of the pack ...He was an extremely friendly and loving dog, craving a lot of affection. My ex at the time was not always kind to him so he was mostly bonded with the female members of the family... George and Yogi mostly ignored him but Luna and the puppies adored him and he was very helpful in raising them. He was a very loyal dog he broke his leg saving my daughter from being hit by a car, and was in every way sensitive to her needs. In 2005 My daughter and Spike went to live with her boyfriend of the time , shortly after Spike got out of the back yard and was never seen again ... the unresolved missing are often the hardest to bare because we never know what happened to them :(
