Arrival Story:
I was volunteering for a rescue group called Pit Girls in Austin Texas. After meeting so many wonderful "pit bulls" I decided I had to have one for they're uncompared sweetness. I was given an i.d. number and told to go to Town Lake ANimal Center. There she sat, on a small piece of cloth no bigger than a wash rag, head hanging down, drooppy ears. She was 4 months old and very petite. I didn't think she would be over 40 pounds. My landlord said that the only way I could have a dog is if I didn't ever leave it at the house when I wasn't there. It worked out fine for me because I worked at a vet clinic and could bring her to work. I now know every dog friendly eatery and establishment in Austin Texas because of my little arrangement.

Bio:
Roxy's health soon began to go down hill once I got her home from the pound. She has lost almost all of her teeth (only 1 canine left), has only partial vision in 1 eye, low thyroid, tumors removed, the list can go on and on. But she has kept her head held high and hasn't let it get her down. She 's happy and healthy and lots of energy to fetch sticks and swim. Because of her blindness it takes her awhile to be friendly to new dogs but once she knows they mean her no harm she's friends forever. Roxy loves the company of kitties!
