Quick Bio:
-pound dog-dog rescue

Birthday:
November 3rd 1998

Likes:
Laser pointer (or as she knows it...red bug), swimming, being in between Mommy & Daddy, chasing Brock (her Lab man!), squirrels & ducks!

Pet-Peeves:
Getting her monthly flea treatment & squirrels that taunt her!

Favorite Toy:
Laser light, anything that squeaks, cat toys, Brock (her Lab man!)

PIZZA!!! String cheese, runny over easy eggs...basically anything we eat.

Favorite Walk:
Anywhere that has water & ducks (We ask her if she wants to play 'duck duck goose' & she goes wild!)

Best Tricks:
Sneeze on command, say your prayers, where's Daddy/Mommy/Brock?, catching opposums & then letting them go.

Arrival Story:
We had just lost our dog (Nicki). We didn't know if we were ready yet but decided to take a look at the local shelter to make some positive steps forward. That's when I saw her. She was soooo sleepy because it was the end of the evening. The shelter assistant made an exception and let us visit with her. All she wanted to do was sleep. My husband said it didn't feel right because she wouldn't respond to him. I pointed out how tired she was and he said, "If I don't get kisses from a 'kid-o' then it doesn't feel like there is a bond." I swear on a stack of bibles that at that very comment (she was in his lap), she raised her head and planted one right on his face! Boy...that was it, he was sold! She has been the best girl in the world! She did have a few minor setbacks. At the age of 1 1/2 she had a torn cruciate ligament in her right knee. She ended up having a big surgery (TPLO) and had another on her left knee within 6 weeks. Now, you would never know that she had anything ever wrong. She is at the peak of health and in tip-top shape. She runs, wrestles and swims!

Bio:
Her middle name (Straya) was actually her name that her first owners had given her. Instead of dropping it totally and just naming her Zoe, we decided that she could use a middle name! Zoe is seriously one of the sharpest dogs I've have ever had or known!

Weee're baaack! OH...MY...GOSH!! We had sooo much fun! We got to see lightening storms the first night, but then the sun came out the next day! It was perfect!! Brock swam & swam. Mommy & Daddy took turns throwing our floating frisbee out in the water & Brock & I took turns rescuing it!

Then it was time for me to turn my attention to all those pesky waves slapping my toes! I bit them as hard as I could but they kept on coming! Phew...hard work, but fun too!

We also went for a couple of boat rides. I love the wind blowing on my tongue! Brock kept wanting to jump at the spray coming up on the sides of the boat, but Daddy told him how dangerous that was. He is such a nut!

When we got back home, we slept solid for a day & a half! Now that we are recharged, we need to plan our next trip!

Toodles for now!

We are going to the lake...YeeeeHawww!

Oh boy...I can't wait. Okay, I better remind Mommy to grab my floating toys. Oh, & Daddy needs to remember my booties. Last time my tootsies got a little ouchy from the rocks.

Brock?!!!! Did I see in your diary that you told everyone about my "tinkle-trouble"? That's not fair. It's not my fault that it's so fun to bite the waves. It makes me swallow a bunch of lake water, & well, what can I say...It runs right through me! How embarrassing!

Anyhoo; It looks like my little Brock man may have to have the same surgery that I had on my knees. He'll be okay. Once it's all done, he will be good as new!

Oh...gotta run! Mommy & Daddy are about to eat dinner. Brock thinks he's the better beggar? I don't think so! Gotta get to work. See ya!!
