Naughty Pup

Hi doggies-

I was a NAUGHTY pup today. Mom has been sick lately, and it has been so boring around here! She went to work for a half day, so I decided to liven up the place. I jumped up on the counter and ate a ginormous fudge brownie... then I jumped up on the coffee table and played with her bottles of medicine... then I got into the recycling bin and chewed up some papers... then I got into her garbage can upstairs and shredded kleenex all over the floor! Not bad for about three hours of work!

All that havoc has worn me out... I'm off to sleep! Later gators!

Heaven has an extra angel today

Baroooooo. Hi pups. I got some bad news today. My mom came home from work and told me that Sadie the cockapoo crossed the rainbow bridge to doggie heaven yesterday.

Mom and I are both very sad. That might sound weird when you consider that I never got to actually meet Sadie... not even once in my whole life. But I know from the stories mom told me that she was a very special pup. Like, the most specialest, coolest pup EVER! Because before she met Sadie the cockapoo, my mom never really liked dogs much. I mean, she thought they were OK, but she never had one of her own before. Or even thought about getting one. (Something about not liking poop too much, and not wanting to get out of bed on a weekend before she was good and ready. Whatever, mom.)

But then one day, almost 3 years ago exactly, my mom went to a meeting at Sadie's house, and she and Sadie got to be BFF. And Sadie convinced my mom that she should get a cockapoo. Then, a week later, my mom found me and brought me home!!!

So, in a weird way, if there hadn't been a Sadie, there wouldn't be a Riley. And that would have been BAD.

Bathtime Blues

Hiya pups! Long time, no bark!

Things have been kinda quiet around here. Mom is back at work every day and doing stuff for something called "class." Dad is working a lot, too... and now HE'S going to this "class" thing two days a week, too! You know what this means... I'm home alone a lot. *sigh* BOOOOOR-RING!

That's OK, though. I can watch Judge Joe Brown all day and catch up on my beauty sleep.

Speaking of "beauty"... mom gave me a bath tonight! For no good reason! I didn't even get to jump in a mud puddle or anything first! What a bummer.
