Likes: Being with people, particularly his daddy, particularly cuddling in bed. Licking people: faces, hands, toes, bellies, etc. Barking! Toys with stuffing that can be extracted. Tug and fetch. Chasing the cat. Humping unsuspecting visitors. Pet-Peeves: Being alone - even for a minute. Getting wet in any way, be it from bath, rain, snow, or swimming. The fact that his kitty "sister" gets to go on the good couch & he doesn't. Being shifted to the side or end of the bed when he is hogging most of it. Favorite Toy: Flexible frisbee, torn-up remnants of old stuffed toys, his leash. Favorite Food: Heartworm pills! But since that's only once a month, socks, dryer sheets, cat poo, anything from the trash or ground, and any people food whatsoever will do (though Greenies run a close 2nd to the heartworm pills). Favorite Walk: New City School ball field, or pretty much anywhere mom & dad are going. Best Tricks: Fetching his leash when asked if he wants to go for a walk. Leaving a treat right in front of his nose until told that he may eat it. (We know that these aren't great tricks. He's a bit of a dumbass.) Arrival Story: I was looking high & low for a doggy to be a present for my husband & kept coming up empty-handed. Then we heard about an "adoption fair" where dozens of local rescue shelters come with animals for adoption. Saw him and fell in love almost immediately, and haven't looked back since! He was about a year old at that time, and we were told that his previous family had gotten rid of him merely for "jumping on the table." (He's still the best b-day present his dad's ever gotten - and he's a total daddy's boy - see pic to left.) Bio: When we got him, the name given to him by his previous family was "Bear" or "Brown Bear." We immediately ditched this name as being boring, as well as totally unsuited to his personality. Eventually we settled on "Killian" both because of his hair color (almost the same as his dad's!) and as a theme with some friends who have a chocolate lab named "Guinness." Forums Motto: Sláinte!
