Quick Bio:

Birthday:
February 13th 2005

Likes:
Going "bye-bye". Doing anything with Momma, including being her shadow. Sun bathing. Big dogs. His Min Pin friends at the dog park and the laser light!

Pet-Peeves:
Getting his eye boogers removed. His cat-sister getting too much attention. Motorcyles.

Favorite Toy:
Diego has graduated from his cat toy obsession. He loves his Froggie, Doggie and Kitty, they are terry cloth and he loves to nibble them. He also can't resist his Dad's house slippers.

Favorite Food:
Diego loves everything, but has sensitive skin and can only eat pure chicken treats. SPOILED!

Favorite Walk:
Diego loves going anywhere. And we take him wherever we can with us.

Best Tricks:
Diego is great at "sitting", and has mastered the "shake", "stay" and "lay down". He knows "get in your chair" (to go away) when we're eating too. We're working on his "play dead" trick and "smile".

Arrival Story:
I was driving down the 805 Freeway in San Diego and I happened to glance over at the car next to me and saw a black and rust Min Pin, I rushed home and started doing some research on the breed, I was sold immediately, but the task at hand was getting my hubby convinced... which ended up being pretty easy! We located a breeder in our area thru a local veternarian's office and arranged to meet with her and the puppies she had. When we got to her house and saw the 3 little puppies, we were both immediately drawn to Diego, he was the "independent" one of the bunch! The rest is history!

Bio:
We are really lucky to have acquired Diego, he is such a happy, smart and loving dog! He is completely friendly. Of course I'm biased, but he is also totally and absolutely adorable!

Well, the move is over....

... and boy am I happy that it's all overwith. I didn't know exactly what was going on when Mom and Dad starting putting our whole house into boxes.... and it stressed me out, so Momma had to put me on chicken and rice for two days. I did like having Mom and Dad home all day with me though.

Then I had to ride with Momma in her car for a REALLY LONG time.... I kept trying to sleep but the bumpy roads were making it hard for me to catch any zzz's, and when I would try to stick my head out of the window, I couldn't sniff very well because we were going too fast. Finally we arrived at Grandma and Grandpa's house. They have the biggest backyard with grass and it's like my very own dog park. It was good to see my cat sister, Nala, at my Grandma and Grandpa's house too. I guess she rode in the car with Daddy. We were both really happy to be done with the long ride.

The next day, Mom and Dad took us to a new place, which they told us was our new home. I didn't really like it too much the first day and Nala hid under the bed the whole day and night. The next morning Momma took me for my morning walk and I was pretty unsure of everything.... I was kinda scared and didn't pee anywhere, which was surprising to my Momma. In the next days my Mom and Dad unpacked everything and made our house look alot like I'm used to it looking. I really like the new place now. I'm starting to mark things on our walks again, which I can tell makes Momma feel better.

We live across from a huge park and so does my Grandma and Grandpa. I'm looking forward to meeting new doggies here in the new place we live. All in all I'm happy we moved.

OK- we're going for a walk now. Woof with ya later diary.... -D.

My Tail of Devotion for Diego

Diego, my sweet baby boy... your chocolate eyes can melt away a bad day in less than a second... such an alert, attentive little doggie, always hanging on my every word.
Your head tilt makes me want to scoop you up and kiss you all over, but I know you are becoming a distinguished little gentleman and would rather me save the mushy stuff 'til we get home.
The way you wag your itty bitty tail stub, is completely endearing. How protective of me your Dad has made you constantly reminds me of what a happy little family we have.
I don't know what I ever laughed at before you came along, I love you more than just boiling chicken for you, I love you more than just taking you for walks every morning at 6am...
I love you so much that you have completely changed my life and where and what I do on a daily basis.
I love your companionship - thank you for loving me.
- Your Momma.

Hip, Hip, Hooray for summertime baby!!!!!

Allright diary.. I am SO happy that summertime is finally here again! This summer is SO much more fun because last summer I was too small to get into anything really good, and let's not even mention all the stress about where to potty. Anyway, we've been to Coronado cool-dog beach the last 3 out of 4 weekends... it is SO fun there! I'm not too cool yet with getting all into the water... it does this really weird thing, it kinda pulls and pushes you.... and sometimes the water is cold with a capital "c". We've also visited some new dog places, and met up with some different pins that my Momma got us hooked up with. I'm diggin' it alot!
On another note, my Momma keeps talking alot about something called "moving". She's really excited about the new place we're going to live. She says we'll be lots closer to my grandparents. That's cool, from what I can remember, they played with and laughed at me alot. Dad keeps talking about the "truck", whatever that is. He says I'm going to love riding in it... I hope he's right and he's not trying to trick me.... like how Momma does when she's trying to give me that medicine in the piece of chicken.
I'd better get to sleep now. Got a meetup to go to tomorrow... those are always SO fun.
Peace out Diary... D
