***Holidays for our pawrents and a retreat for us***
Mama and Papa are going on a short little trip to Vancouver, B.C., to get away and relax and shop.
I know they'll bring us home something special. Hehehe, because it's my birthday on April 14th...Yipppeee!!!
So we are going on a retreat into the woods to join this wonderful lady and her two goldens named Teddy and Meka.
We've met them last week and we get a long really well.
She has 13 acres and 1/2 acre is fenced in for our protection.
She boards 4 dogs total and takes care of doggies just like our pawrents would. We can come in the house when ever we want and be one big happy family. We get to sleep together unless we're being bad and have to be separated. I know that woun't happen, cuz we're really good. BOL...
Mama checked into kennals and didn't like them at all because of the cages that we would be placed in and locked in from 6:00 P.M. until morning.
Mama didn't like the kennal thing at all, so she did some research to find us the very BEST!
This lady is a gentle kind soul and dedicates her life to to simple life of dogs and retreating into the woods for peace and quite.
It's far up in the mountains, so there's still snow up there. That's something we just love!!!
Anyways, we will be there from April 9th until the morning of the 13th.
We know that we'll miss mama and papa like crazy, however being with a family of goldens and love will make the world of difference.
When we come back from our retreat, we are going to the spa for baths and celebrating my Birthday with cake from my favorite doggie bakery and presents....

Well, my name before I was named Hendrix, was Spunky...
I thought it really suited me because I was quite the spunk man...

My story~
When mama and papa were driving to pick me up, they were discussing names for me and there were a few, like Comox AND SOME OTHER ONES THAT MAMA CAN'T REMEMBER RIGHT NOW, however the name "Hendrix" came up, and mama and papa new right away that was the name....
It sounded so good for a Golden Retriever and they hadn't even met me yet, but they knew that was the name and when we saw each other it was love at first site....I was the one and only!!! hehehhe....
Now, listen to this... This is a true story.....
About a month after mama and papa had me, we went for a short walk to this park called "Knox Mountain" and someone stopped us and said I was so darn cute....
They ask what my name was and Papa said to our surprise......
This is Hendrix
And they said after Jimi Hendrix?
Papa said, NO!!!
I'm Jimmy, this is Hendrix and mama was papa's groupie....
It was so funny, we all laughed and barked and that's when we new that name was perfect for me....
We never even thought about that until that day...
It was a brilliant name for me and fitted the story perfectly AND our life just right....
We tell everyone that story and a lot of times they don't believe us...
