Dangers in the garage

Yesterday, May 13th, our dog Deimos had to be put down due to poisoning. A few weeks earlier, my dad was working on his car, and he left a bucket of antifreeze open in the garage. He left it there and forgot about it. Well, on Friday evening, Deimos had a seizure (he's epileptic). He came out of it, and was put outside for the night after he drank lots of water, for seizures make him very thirsty. The next morning, we found him staggering as if drunk, or as if he had a stroke. My father checked the bucket, and it was lower than he remembered. We took Deimos to the vet, but there was nothing we could do for him. We put him to sleep before he was in pain.

I would just like to tell everyone that they should always be aware of the dangers they leave in their garage. Please, for your pets' sake, make sure you check the chemicals or leaks from your car so this unfortunate accident doesn't happen again.
