Going bye-bye, being close, chasing his boy around the yard, following my husband around, helping my husband outside, and sleeping on top of the register with cool air blowing out of it. Neko also loves Ebony, our Momma Tater. ;o)
Being hot or not being able to see us, not being able to go outside with my husband to "perform his duties," taking a bath. Raccoons, Skunks, Pizza Delivery Guys, UPS Delivery Guys, and the Ground Hog that Got Away.
A stuffed teddy bear, stuffed lobster, stuffed monkey. He loves those egg babies from Drs. Foster & Smith - he can work them in under 2 minutes. He shreds most of his toys within a couple of days of getting them so the toy turn over is high.
Blue Spa Large Breed (PLEASE RESEARCH THE FOODS YOU ARE FEEDING YOUR BABIES!!!)
Anywhere! ;o) He loves to go to his boy's sport events and is very well behaved at them!
Getting my expensive bears down and removing the tags. (Who needs the tags anyways??) He will chatter at us when he's excited. Squeaking his squeaky toys in our face. Helping me load the dishwasher by making sure the dishes are clean.
I had been looking for a White Shepherd and wasn't sure I was going to be able to find one close to our area. I have always admired Shepherds and when I found out there were White Shepherds, I was instantly intrigued! I did some research on this breed, and I was really hoping to make one part of our lives. I really wanted to be able to rescue one, but every time I found one, it said that it didn't get along well with cats, which was a no-no for us with our Tater Population.
My husband was dragging his feet because we had just lost our Great Pyrenese. He wasn't sure he was ready to get another dog. However a 4 a.m. visit from a raccoon that tore through a screen window and came into our house changed his mind.
Not long after this late night intruder visited, my husband surprised me and brought me a local advertiser telling me there was "something" in there I'd been looking for. I was so excited to see that it was and ad for White Shepherd pups not 10 minutes from our house!! My daughter and I set off to meet with the breeder and his family who were absolutely wonderful. I got to meet Neko's mom, Blu and see pictures of his dad who had just passed away. ;o( We fell in love instantly with our little bundle of white fur.
Now our little bundle of fur is 98 pounds and a very important member of our family. He and my husband are completely inseparable. Both get depressed when they are apart! Neko greets him by chattering at him like Chewbaka every time he comes home.
Thank you to Neko for just being YOU, and for helping us to heal from losing Ali. We don't know what we'd do without you!
Neko has quickly learned that nice, cool air comes out of the vent in the floor. He likes to lay on it while the air rushes through. Sometimes he doesn't lay exactly right on it, and the air will bother his ears, so he shakes his head and tries to reposition himself. He is such a funny, funny boy and one smart cookie! He also likes to help. He was helping my husband dig a hole the other day in our barn. He stopped digging when my husband stopped, so I truly think he thought he was helping!! Neko is very interested in being in the middle of whatever is going on as well as being the center of attention. He works to keep us all together so he can keep a watchful eye on all of us. Neko has also appointed himself many jobs around the house. Some of these jobs include helping me put dishes in the dishwasher, which includes them being carefully scrutinized with his tongue to make sure they are cleansed properly before washing, and checking the taters from head to toe when they come in from outside. The taters have gotten to the point where they will stand and patiently wait for him to do his inspection before going on with their business. They will even give him a little rub afterwards. ;o)
Hey! Whatcha doin' there? Can I help???

Neko passed away February 16, 2014. We aren't sure exactly what happened, maybe a stroke or something. He passed away with my husband's (pack master) t-shirt for a pillow since my husband was away at work. Neko was a fierce protector from visits from Earl the Meat Man to watching over the grandbabies. He fussed more than I did. I'll never forget all of the funny (and aggravating at the time) things he did. We were blessed the day he picked us. Thank you for taking such good care of us, Neko.
I give you this one thought to keep:
I am with you still; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand by my grave and weep;
I am not there, I do not sleep.
Do not think of me as gone-
I am with you still -- in each new dawn
We love you, Neko...

Yea!!! I'm 3 years old today!!! Happy Birthday to me!!!
My mommy and daddy had a birthday party today for me and everything. My daddy and my boy sung the funny happy birthday song to me. I got the yummy, gooey stuff in my bowl with that glowing stick in the middle. Mommy took the stick out though after my sister took pictures.
Then I got a new toy! It's a white bear that SQUEAKS!!! I love the SQUEAKIES!!
Thanks, Dogster, for helping make my day special!!!
I'm such a BIG BOY!!! My mommy says so!!

Okay, so the whole staying alone in the house thing was going really well for a while. Mom and Dad decided to trust me again thinking that I had learned my lesson about "selecting things off the counter" to chew, not to mention, I've got the whole depressed look down pat when they say the "c" word (cage). Daddy happily announced to Mom that he thought my days of getting into things had come to an end....
But tonight, Mom and Dad went out to eat, and I got to stay alone (except for the Taters - bunch of TattleTails, the lot of them!) in the kitchen and greatroom. Mom's been home all week with me since the kids are on Spring Break, and I've been a really good boy.
Well, we all know that it's my job to protect the house and the Taters, right?
Well, I was just doing my job when all of the sudden, I started hearing this voice. It was kind of soft at first, but it kept getting louder and louder. I just couldn't ignore it. Shepherds never ignore something when it's got our curiosity peaked. It wasn't a cat, after all. Upon further investigation, I swear it was coming from that little white thing that Mom and Dad point at the t.v. to make different pictures show up.
You're never going to believe this, but I SWEAR it was saying "EAT ME!" Strangely enough, it was followed by strange giggling....
Being a bit baffled myself, I tried to talk reason into the blasted thing. Afterall, wasn't Mom and Dad going to be mad when they couldn't point it at the t.v. anymore and make the different pictures come up? Although, on the other paw, Mom is always growling at Dad for doing this "flipping" thing with little white thing during something called commericals. So wouldn't she really be happy if I would eat the white thing? Besides, when we have to watch these things called commericals, I don't miss all the cool pictures about food and all kinds of things that look fun!
Well, I gave into temptation, and I ate it. Didn't taste very good, but BOY was that FUN! The feel of the plastic on my teeth was just heaven...almost as good a the chew bones that Mom gives me. Well, it was fun....Until Mom and Dad came home, that is. I won't go into further details...but I think I was set up...for some reason the Taters are all laughing at me now and giving each other high paws.
Mom and Dad are already talking about buying another one. I wonder if that one will talk to me too? There is one thing for sure, if it does talk, it will probably be from a very high shelf...
