Life as a Pit Bull

My day at Trace Creek

Today started out like every normal day. I woke up and dug some holes in the yard. It was really hot out, and after a while, i just found a cool spot in the shade to lay down and take a nap. I awoke to my mommy and daddy calling my name. They had the baby in her carseat and was walking towards the truck. I ran over, my tail wagging furiously, and my daddy picked me up and put me in the back of the truck!!! I had only been on a ride once before, and it was fun, so i sat very still in the back. Mommy started the truck and we were off! We stopped by aunt Jennifers and sat for a few minutes and then we were on the road again. After what seemed like forever to me, the truck came to a stop, with Auntie Jennifer's car right behind us. Mommy got the baby out, while daddy helped me down. I ran around happily, following daddy. He was walking into the same kinda stuff that i drink! He kept callin me, so i ventured in. Wow!! It felt great!! It was so cool against my skin. I ran ahead, chasing daddy, and sometimes, my feet couldnt even touch nothing at all! But i paddled with my paws, and still kept on top of the stuff that mommy said was water. My mommy reached into the water, and picked up this round white thing, that they kept calling an egg. It looked like one of the balls i play with at home so i jumped up to grab it in my mouth. I quickly found out it wasnt a ball! It left an awful taste in my mouth, cause it was all gooey, so i lapped up some water. Mommy looked upset when i did that but she quickly forgave me. I spent the day swimming and having fun with my family. When it started to get dark, we loaded up and went home. I was exhausted so i quickly went to sleep. Boy, what a great day!
