Wow, has it been that long since writing in my diary?!

I'm doing good, about 15 years old now and had a bunch of teeth pulled last year but I can still each my crunchies and jump pretty high. Mommies take me camping in the summer and let me tan in the window during the winter.

Hope all my Dogster friends are happy and healthy.

Christmast 2008

Wow, its been forever since I wrote in my Dogster Diary. Everything is good here. I'm getting older and greyer but can still keep up with the big dogs. Mommies dressed me up for my annual photo with Santa which gives them much joy at the expense of my dignity.

Holiday 2006

Hi Everybody,

Mommies took me to see Santa at the Milford Animal Shelter this weekend. Hope you like the photo they took. I became very sad seeing my canine buddys behind bars :o( I hope that they find great homes like mine real soon.

I fell in love in Neiko while waiting in line. He used to live at the shelter but he was adopted by a great family upstate. That makes me wagging happy :o)

Happy Birthday to Me!

Hi everybody,

Today is my 8th birthday and Mommy gave me turkey for breakfast (my fave). We are going for a walk around the neighborhood later with a newspaper reporter who is interviewing us about a bunch of red fox sightings in our neighborhood. We live in a suburban area so fox are unusual. One neighbor even saw the fox with a small cat in its' mouth - eek! Even though I weigh 14 lbs, Mommy is a bit worried about the fox attacking me so she keeps me on a short leash and makes lots of noise while we're walking. Mommy has nothing to worry about, I'll protect her.

Hope all of you had a great holiday season and are enjoying basketball season like my mommies are. The UConn Huskies are getting better every game....Woof!

I'm not too crazy about their yelling at the television during games but no worry, I go into the bedroom to get away from the noise.

Happy Halloween Everyone!

Mommy took silly photos of me for Halloween and couldn't make up her
mind whether to use the biker-dude outfit or the more traditional witch
look for my Halloween picture on Dogster.com. So, she took a vote of her friends and so far the traditional Witch Hat and pumpkin scarf is winning so it is now my primary photo.

I don't particularly like either but sometimes you just gotta give in to the ones you love :oP

Rain, Rain, Go Away...

Its raining cats and humans today and Dr. Mel (channel 8 weatherman) says its going to keep raining for a week! If Mommy thinks I'm going outside, she's nuts. I'm staying put on my (um, Mommy's) sofa.

Ok, while I'm ranting...Do you see that silly photo that Mommy took of me with that pink thing on my head! Ugh. It is actually a necklace that my Aunties Tissa and Teddy gave me. I don't normally "do" flowers (much more of a Tomboy) but to be nice, I wanted to wear it for them. Then, Mommy thought it was funny on my head. The price of being cute ;o)

Hopefully it will stop raining long enough for me to take Mom for a walk around the neighborhood. The Big dogs aound town love to bark at me when I strut by their houses...hee hee.

Whats a Xoloitzcuintli?

Hi Pals,

Humans seem to be facinated and puzzled with my breed. When Mommy tells them that I'm a Toy Coated Xoloitzcuintli, pronounced "show-low-eats-queent-lee", she has to follow up with telling them that I'm a Mexican Hairless - with hair. She also tells them that my brothers are hairless with a poof of red hair on their heads. In turn, I'm often called a "hairy hairless" but these confused humans still think that all 12 pounds of me is cute...I love the attention.

When we moved to our new house, we found out that there are 2 standard size Xolos in the neighborhood. Boy, was their human surprised when Mommy told him that he had beautiful Xoloitzcuintlis, since it is a rare breed that dates back to the ancient Aztec culture and he never had anyone recognize their breed before.

I'm so happy to see so many Xolo pals on Dogster and was really surprised to find out about hairless Terriers too!

Aaahhh...life is good

The thunderstorms and fireworks have finally stopped and the humidity is down. Life is good. Mommy and I went to visit Jen last Friday and she gave me a bottle of flower essence to calm my nerves. Along with some massage it seems to be working! I'm a much happier dog. Now all I have to think about is where to take my naps and playing with my humans.

I have been getting a lot of bones from my friends at Dogster - gee, thanks! My teeth are getting a workout.

Going camping this weekend...yipppeeee...

Ruff weekend

It was the first 4th of July weekend in my new house and boy, is this neighborhood full of loud, scarey noises - every night. Mommies says that its only fireworks and that they won't hurt me but I'm still really scared. Mommy emptied out the closet for me and put my favorite bed in it and I hung out there most of the weekend (she doesn't close the door so I can come and go). She even sat in there with me for awhile and put a sound machine in there with nice, calming babbling brook sounds. I still shook and tried to dig a hole to China when I heard big booms.

Now its Tuesday and I'm resting up from the weekend. Mommies went to work and I'm playing on the computer, checking out my pals on Dogster.com. Thanks for the bones everyone!

I hear that there are going to be thunderstorms tonight and I'll crawl back into the closet where its quieter and I'm safe. I can't wait to get back to my happy self :o(
