She and her kong used to be inseparable, but nowadays she'll chase pretty much anything. At home, any chewed-up stuffed animal will do.

Duck, potato, carrot, bananas, PEANUT BUTTER!

In Arlington, Virginia, to the people park or around Fairlington Arbor. In Pittsburgh, Frick Park. In Vermont, Red Rocks park or Indian Brook. In Dartmouth, Horseneck Beach. In San Francisco, Fort Funston or Lands' End.
Arrival Story:
The minute we found a pet-friendly apartment we drove to the SF SPCA to find a pooch, but didn't meet any there that we liked. A volunteer suggested we walk across the street to Animal Care and Control, the county shelter. There, we encountered many, many dogs barking ferociously and one incredibly cute dog curled up in the corner of her cage. I called out, "Pickle?" (because that's what I wanted to name her and, in fact, is what she was called for 2 weeks until my husband declared he couldn't stand that name) and she walked over to us, tentative at first but then full of wags. We got to meet her in the one-on-one room, which had chest-high windows. Greta, always curious, wanted to know what was going on out in the hall and suddenly stood up like a prairie dog and walked back and forth looking out the windows. We were hooked.
Bio:
Miss Greta lived with us for ten years and 36 days. She was an old soul, she loved life, and she is missed every single day.
