Arrival Story:
Rosie came into the shelter that I volunteer at as a stray. We think that she was a part of a hunting pack (tattoo in her ear) and either got lost or was set free. We assume she was used for breeding and was let go when she was no longer useful seeing as loud noises frighten her and she thinks our guinea pigs are her puppies! (not very good traits for a hunting dog...) Anyway, she was very sad and depressed in the shelter and not showing well. She wouldn't play with the other dogs and would just curl up in a ball in the corner of her kennel. I developed a relationship with her after about a month or so of her being there and decided she should come home with me. =)

Bio:
Rosie is now a very happy hound and has come out of her shell. She loves rough housing with our Aussie, Rio, and will lay by the guinea pig cages and watch them for hours. Her other favorite past time is sitting at the front window and watching the front yard. She's a good watch dog and bays at strangers walking by, but I think if they were to break into the house she would run the other direction...while Rio proceeds to try and lick them to death!
