Arrival Story:
when i was 10... i wanted a dog really bad. my cousin had just gotten one, and i was really jealous. we looked in pet stores(i know better now...) and were going to start checking shelters when my uncle told me about a dog he was going to look at, but would be better for us. she was 6 months old and had been abandoned at the vets by her owners. her paw had been broken in a sliding glass door and they waited until it was swollen and she wasn't bearing any weight on it before they brought her in. once they found out the cost of having the broken bones set... they disappeared. when we went to look at her... they brought her out and she immediately peed on the floor. :) she was so excited, its like she KNEW we were her family. and she's been with us ever since.

Bio:
Lucky passed away in June of 2005 very suddenly. my best guess is that her heart just gave out on her. one minute she was laying in one of the recliners (her favorite spot), and the next she was down on the floor struggling to live. and then she was gone. she will be greatly missed and can NEVER be replaced.
