Peacemaker, Rocco is one of those dogs that can calm other dogs. He gives them signals that he is not a threat and everything is cool.
Arrival Story:
I went to the Atlanta Humane Society looking for a Lab mix. I was looking at dogs and couldn't get a good feel for them. One of the volunteers walked in and I told what I was looking for... a male dog that can get along with a dominant female dog (Fasha).
Alison (the volunteer) took me right to Rocco. I had overlooked him because he wasn't a Lab mix. We took him outside, he ran and played. He had a great personality, very friendly and lovey. He was also about 15-20lbs underweight
Alison said I could bring Fasha up to meet him, so the next day I did. Fasha loved him, they played and played. We took him home that day.
Bio:
6-26-05 I've only had Rocco for a week, but here's what I know about him. Rocco was at the Atlanta Humane Society for at least 2.5 months. He's underweight by 10lbs. He weighs 50lbs but should weigh 60lbs. I guess with the stress of the shelter he couldn't gain weight. Who could blame him.
I still can't believe this great dog was at the shelter for 2 months. I would have never found him if I hadn't asked someone that knew him.
Rocco is a very friendly and smart dog. He just wants love. He's still trying to figure everything out and be comfortable in our house.
Rocco is very skinny, so check back for updated pics of him gaining weight.

Two of the new photos are of Rocco playing at Wagalots. He LOVES wagalots. We love it too.
There is a photo of Rocco sharing his new bed with the new kitty Louie. Rocco is actually scared of this new kitty, even though Louie has been nothing but sugar sweet to Rocco.
Louie doesn't have a catster page yet.
P.S. Rocco has finally reached 60lbs! This summer he wasn't eating his food. We've changed food and increased his walks and now he gulps down his food. :)

Here's an update on Rocco. He's doing great! He has really "come into his own". He loves to get Fasha to play chase. He can usually out run her and that just annoys the hell our of her! Ha!
As for current pictures of Rocco....well let's just say Rocco is a scaredy cat. He is afraid of the camera! He knows when I open a certain drawer the dreaded camera will come out.
I know what I need to do. I need to bring out treats when the camera is out. Rocco loves food!
I'll try to get new photo's of him soon!
