Sun Sign:
Quick Bio:
-purebred

Birthday:
September 11th 2003

Likes:
sleeping in the big bed with mommy and daddy. I like to get right in between them and share a pillow.

Pet-Peeves:
strangers getting too close to mommy. I also am not very fond of the lawn mower. I try to bite its wheels and then Daddy yells at me, making me hate it all the more!

Favorite Toy:
stuffed animal carcasses and sticks. I get confused though because I am supposed to play with the sticks outside only. I want to put them in my toy basket!

Favorite Food:
Anything and Everything! The smell of fresh garlic sends me into a frenzy. I also LOVE kettle corn, my record is catching 12 in a row! Secret - if you mess up they let you keep trying.

Favorite Walk:
The backyard is pretty much my domain. I find I can act tough by barking at other dogs and strangers from the safety of behind the fence. I also like the beach at Sandy Hook. Word to the wise, don't drink the ocean water. YUCK!

Best Tricks:
"Jelly-Bones" - I go completly limp when Daddy tries to take me downstairs to go to bed.

Arrival Story:
Mommy and Daddy told me they talked about adopting one of my peeps for years. Something about a bulldog named Jack and something else called Hoyas, what? Its all very confusing to me. But anyway they went down to my breeder "just to look" and it was love at first site. I was glad to get out of there too. One of my bullie brothers WAS a bully and kept pushing me out of the way when I tried to greet Mommy.

Bio:
My name is pronounced LEE-low, its welsh and I am named for Llywelyn the Great, Prince of Wales. Which I think is very fitting.

Forums Motto:
The little prince

Happy New Year!!

Happy new year to all my dogster pals and pals to-be! I hope everyone had great holidays! I know I did. It was great because my mom and dad were home with me for a week and a half and I got to see both sets of my grandparents! A special treat since one set live very far away.

Christmas was great. Mom wrapped all my presents and mixed them in with theirs. She put all the gifts under the tree Christmas morning while dad was still in bed. I went straight to my stuff and started trying to open it up and mom had to yell for dad to come downstairs because I would not be held off.

It always amazes my parents how I can tell which gifts are mine. I never try to open anyone else's stuff, unless they look like they need a little help once they get started. Of course there's a secret to it, but I'm not telling!

Now I've had a week to recover from all the excitment of family visiting and the new year and things are starting to get back to normal. I really needed a vacation after that vacation.

Happy New Year All!

Why Llelos Don't Go Swimming

We have been enjoying some unseasonably warm weather in NJ these past few weeks, so mom and dad decided it would be a good opportunity to go to the beach and take a new family photo. I love walking on the beach because its the only time I'm allowed to walk off my leash. I never get too far ahead of my parents though. I don't really like to be off on my own.

About a year ago I decided that the ocean wasn't as scary as I previously believed and thought it might not be so bad to stick a toe in there. So I did and then I went a little farther and then a little farther until there wasn't any sand beneath my feet. I realized all of the sudden, "Wow, I think I'm swimming!" It wasn't really all that hard so I kept going and going, straight out.

I think that's when mommy got scared and she yelled out my name. I could tell by the way her voice sounded that she was really scared for me. So, that was the first and last time I ever went swimming.

Now when we go to the beach I usually walk through the shallows and mommy feels guilty and trys to encourage me to swim a bit, but I don't take the bait. Maybe someday I'll swim again, but for now I think I'll just play it cool along the water's edge.

Just doing my part

So my family lives in kind of an older home that wasn't getting much TLC before we moved in. My parents spend a lot of time on the weekends fixing things up. Don't get me wrong, I deserve to live in a nice place, but time they spend painting and gardening is time not spent throwing sticks and playing tug.

Last week when I was out in the yard I found a few bags of soil stacked up. Well, since I was already outside I thought this would be the perfect time for me to help out a bit and get some yard work done. So I pulled the top bag off the pile and started dragging it back and forth across the yard to fill in some patchy spots in the grass.

I guess my mom heard me because she came out to check what I was doing. She kept trying to take the bag away from me, but I wouldn't let her. Every time she reached for it I laid on top of it and covered it with my body. She thinks I'm just a baby, but I'm THREE. I can handle a little yardwork!

When she couldn't get it away from me she called my dad outside and the two of them just laughed and laughed. I had to show them I can help out around the house so I started to drag the bag again and when it was just about empty I picked it up and gave it a good shake to get the last of the dirt out and dropped the bag by their feet.

They said I did a really good job and it would surely help the grass grow. You're darn right the grass is going to grow now and boy did I show them!
