Mission Statement: 'To be with humans at all times whenever possible. While with humans, a trip to the park down the street is a must. If there is water around, I'll be in it before you look twice.'

Very sensitive about his paws, and does not like to be away from his humans one bit

tug-o-war rope, tennis balls, anything that squeaks, and his blankie

Favorite Food:
pistachios, watermelon, peanut butter, popcorn, and chicken noodle soup

Favorite Walk:
leash free dog parks, particularly where there is water to swim in

Arrival Story:
I fell in love with this little guy the minute I saw him. I did not want to leave his side! He had a splash of brown on his face, and was lighter in color than the rest. I thought he might turn brown but his brown spot went away and he eventually turned solid black. What exactly he is mixed with is anyone's guess... I've come to think he is a Lab mixed with something smaller, and leaner because he has definite Lab traits, but he is only 45 lbs and has hound ears. His brother, Grady, is his TWIN. I am a first time dog owner, and now a FOREVER dog lover. He is one of the best things to ever happen to me, and I hope to be able to adopt/rescue another one again in the future.

Bio:
Dakota and his siblings were weaned very very early so he never fully had proper training from his mother or siblings on how to behave like a "dog"... thus, in his mind, he is a human. He is also VERY sensitive... he gets his feelings hurt easily! He is a retrieving freak! Its his life job to retrieve the ball as many times as possible before he dies. ;)
