Arrival Story:
When me and my sister were little, our neighbors had a litter of Goldens. We BEGGED our mom and dad to get a dog, pleading that we were the only ones on the street without a dog. They kept saying 'no.' But one day, when my sister and I got back from a day at my grandparent's house, we saw our mom laying on the couch...with a PUPPY! And the rest is history.

Bio:
While naming her, my parents, my sister and two older brothers and I sat in a circle around her trying to figure out her personality. We came up with the craziest names, including "St. Patrick's Day" as suggested by my brother. We were down to Princess and Lady, and my dad liked the sound of Lady. Lady was a GREAT member of the family - always by our side. In the summer of 2003, I had ACL reconstruction on my knee and was bedridden for a few weeks. Lady was at my bedside every night, and followed me when I walked around the house on crutches, making sure I wouldn't fall. If I moved to the couch for the day, there she'd be. She was a great comforter and companion. She was diagnosed with Lymphoma, a cancer of the glands, around the time she turned nine. We had her going through chemotherapy which knocked her out for the day. She was a trooper... On Sunday, September 28th, 2003, my sister called me while I was away at college. She told me dad took Lady away while she was at church. The cancer had spread to her eye, making her face swell up over night. We couldn't let her live in pain like that anymore...
