2510 Miles Away!

I don't know if I am excited or scared! I heard mommy say that we're moving across country. I am a California boy and don't know if I am ready for such a big change. My brother, Calhoun, is originally from Atlanta and he told me that the South is better. What does he know? My sister, Marly, doesn't really care where we are as long as she has a warm, comfy place to sleep.

I am looking forward to spending more time with Grandpa, Grandma, McClure, McClain, and my aunt & uncle. Somebody said the weather isn't as nice as it is here in Orange County but according to mom I will love having a bigger backyard. Hopefully I can get her to throw the ball for me more often now that we only need to walk out the back door to play. Maybe this move won't be so bad afterall!

Dog Show

Dear Diary,

Last Sunday my mommy took me to a dog show. It was super duper exciting!!! We saw dogs of just about every breed. There were Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Beagles, Westies, Irish Wolf Hounds, Pugs, Bull Dogs, Basenjis, Rhodesian Ridge Backs and many others. They were so beautiful and well behaved.

We met up with some friends from the Cavalier Park and watched the English Toy Spaniels and Cavaliers. My mommy fell in love with a handsome ruby English Toy Spaniel named, Voltaire. I was a little jealous when mom fawned over him but I got over it really quickly and snuggled in her lap.

I hope we get to go to another dog show again!

Another Cavalier Park Day

Dear Diary,

Yipppeeee!!! Mommy took me to the park today to play with my (local) Cavalier buddies. It was fun! Our Park Day leader taught the moms and dads some grooming techniques and I was one of the models. I was such a good boy and mommy was so proud of me. I can't wait until next month so I can see my friends again! I'm sleepy now so I'm going to take a nap.

The Masters

My mommy is trying to watch the Masters golf tournament that she recorded earlier today and I keep FREAKING out because I can see the ball rolling across the green. Mom is happy that Phil and Freddy are playing well but I keep distracting her by running up to the TV cabinet and trying to jump at the screen. I just know that if I could jump high enough I could get my paws on one of those balls. It's just so exciting and I cannot keep my eyes off the action! I was probably a golfer in a former life.

Oh boy, mom took me to the Cavalier Dog Show!

I had a good time this weekend. It wasn't quite as fun as playing with tennis balls but I enjoyed it. My mom took me to watch the Cavaliers of the West Dog Show in Long Beach. There were lots of beautiful doggies and I don't know how the judges were able to pick a winner in any of the categories. I wanted all of them to take home blue ribbons. As far as mommy and I are concerned, they were all champions!

Cavalier Park Day

Today was the best day EVER! I went to my first Cavalier Park Day! I got to meet about 25 other Cavs at a park in OC. We had so much fun sniffing each other and running around. There were some older dogs, younger dogs and a couple little, itty-bitty puppies. Everyone was so well behaved and it was fun to see so many other pups that looked like me. Most were Blenheims, but there were a few Black & Tans, Tri-Colors and a couple other Rubys.

I think my mom might have enjoyed the park as much as me. She kept squealing each time she saw a different dog. There were 3 other non-Cavs (Poodle, Boston Terrier and Sheltie) there too and they were very sweet. My mom played with them too since she thought they might feel a little left out.

We are going to meet again next month and I can't wait!
