Arrival Story:
I adopted Jin Shing from a shelter when she was about 11 months old. She had been living under someone's house and had a litter of puppies when she was really just a puppy herself. Even though she was having to fend for herself, scavenging food for herself and her pups, she survived and is just a fabulous dog. When I saw her at the Columbia County Shelter, all the other dogs were barking their heads off, but she was just laid there quietly, kinda gazing around the place. I went home, but barely made it in the door before I turned around and drove back to get her. When I opened the door of my truck she just jumped right in & over to the passenger seat and looked at me like "Come on! Whatcha waitin' for?" That was a great day, and she is a great dog.

What a Day!

Whew! Thought we were going to the store or some such...ends up I spend 8 days in the car in the sweltering heat, and they tell me I now live in Mexico! this place is way cool...there are bugs bigger than my paw and these strange dinosaur like creatures that roam onthe eight foot fence outside..those &%&^$^% are not getting in my house. I sit all day watching them..I have yet to nail one, but it's only a matter of time..I watch every miinute...I'm still not sure what they are? They don't smell like chicken, that's for sure. My cat sister and brothers seem to like it here too....the old guy likes the heat, he's skinny and used to have to lay by the microwave to get warm...no longer, now he just roams the house like he owns it. I'll have to keep an eye on him I suppose. Tony, my other cat brother has been trimming down due to the heat (I don't like the heat so much, but I manage), and he is lookin fine, very studly. Betty, pretty but not too smart in my opinion...took off for the jungle. Not a good thing, we haven't seen her since...but I think the parents want her back...they keep doing stuff and I know it has to do with getting her back home...well, just another day in this dogs life.
