dog of the day

i can't thank dogster enough for chosing me as dog of the day today! it's quite an honor! it's actually a special day because it's also gramma and grandad's 40th anniversary.

it makes me all warm and fuzzy inside knowing how far i've come over the last couple of years w mom. i've made myself quite at home with her. i'm also doing well enough that she adopted a little brother for me. his name is sammy and she got him from the lost dog and cat rescue. he's okay - for a dumb boy and all. sometimes i have to show him some tough love by biting him on the head. more often than not we just race around the house and drive mommy crazy. she just laughs at us though which is good.

The sky is falling....

It's raining and the thunder is really loud. I'm not a happy girl right now. I have to be next to my mom the whole time. She tries to let me know everything is okay but I don't believe her. Luckily on nights like this she'll let me sleep on her bed. But I don't sleep much - I have to pace around the bed for the whole night. I guess mom doesn't get much sleep too since I usually end up walking on her head.

I'm going to hide under the bed now to make sure that stash of biscuits aren't afraid of the storm too.

woo hoo - mom is home again today

last night mom got me a huge bone that i spent most of the night working on. so i'm a bit sleepy this morning. today i'll get to nap on her bed on my special blanket. i like to take naps once in a while. okay - well i can sleep a lot. okay - i can sleep all of the time! and lucky for me - mom likes to take naps too.

where mom works is having a special july 4th holiday. she doesn't have to go to work today or tomorrow or monday - so i get to spend five whole days with her! yeah!! so we'll get to take naps, go on car rides, play, take more naps - it's going to be a great weekend!
