When I was only five weeks old and weighed in at a whopping 5 lbs., my dad rescued me from a farm where my dog mom gave birth to me and my siblings under a dirty old porch. My poor dog mom had many litters before I was born and that's where she had to stay most of the time. She wasn't allowed inside for any reason (how inhumane).
My dad (we can call him Stan) had mercy on me because I was the only pup left and he just couldn't stand to leave me under that porch. It was a hot 4th of July week-end when he brought me home to Paradise. He handed me to my new mom (we can call her Deb) and she held me and cared for me all night long on that first night away from my dog mom. It sure didn't take long for me to realize how lucky I was and still am at 7 years old. I live the good life - great food, great parents, at least 4-5 frisbees in the yard at any given time, AND a very soft and fluffy king size bed to sleep in at night. My elderly sister, Alex, has taught me (she's a Border Collie, you know) many things - mostly good, but some a little naughty (according to my mom and dad). She tries very hard to keep me on the straight and narrow, but my the Huskie in me usually rebels and I do what I please most of the time.

Frisbee, anyone?
