 Quick Bio:
 Birthday: January 1st 1997
Likes: Hugs! Kisses! Cuddles! Barking! Sleeping. Eating. Running around!

Pet-Peeves: I'm not a big fan of doorbells; they make me go crazy.

Favorite Toy: Tennis balls! *freak out* TENNIS BALLS!!! I like squeaky toys, too.

Favorite Food: Anything that comes off of a plate! Especially pretzels, apples, bread, and peanut butter.

Favorite Walk: I love to go on hikes! And roaming around Golden Gardens, Magnuson, and Discovery Park is also fun.

Best Tricks: I can shake, hug, dance, and high five!

Arrival Story: Chaco was wondering around my neighborhood, and my neighbors rounded him up thinking he was one of mine. (I was heavily involved in dog rescue at the time, and had three dogs living with me.) When I got home and said he wasn't my dog, the neighbors thought about keeping him. They were worried about how much he was barking though, and decided to call around and see if anyone wanted him. When everyone answered no, they were going to take him to the pound. I offered to take care of him and help find his family, and they turned him over to me. We decided to call him Chocolate, a fairly generic name we thought would help us not to get too attached. After months of searching, and hundreds of flyers posted, no one came forward to claim him. The vet said it looked like he'd been on the street for some time, and guessed that he was possibly abandoned because of his excessive barking and separation anxiety. By this point, everyone in the household had fallen in love with him, so we became his new family.

Bio: We worked on the separation anxiety, and now it's almost like he never suffered from it. He's still pretty talkative, but not overly so. He's a total spaz though, and a big "flirt," too.
You'll notice I call him Chaco now... when he and I moved up to Seattle, his personality really blossomed. These days, Chaco just suits him better. :o) (Plus, I really like Chaco Canyon, and its hidden beauty reminds me of his once-hidden beauty!)
