Tails & Trails

It's that time of year again when my brother Mr. Billy asks his friends to help out a good cause. Mr. Billy, Sam, and I are former shelter dogs. We were adopted from Sheboygan County Humane Society. To pay them back for taking such good care of us, Mr. Billy participates in the annual Tails and Trails pet walk to raise funds for the shelter's spay and neuter program. The pet walk will be held October 7th.

It's a miracle!!!

My daddy just came in from doing yard work and said, "Guess what?! You have TWO pools now!" Two pools!!! Apparently there was another pool stuck together with my pool. Two years and we never noticed! Now I can put a pool on each side of the yard! I'm so excited for Daddy to finish mowing the lawn so I can go out and go splashing!

Heatwave

It's really hot outside again today. My Mommy filled up my pool so I could jump in it and cool off. We have air conditioning, but there's nothing like a cool pool to keep this doggie comfy. Mommy says it's a good thing we have all wood floors so it's easy to clean up after wet sloppy dogs.

My brother Sam was too hot to even come in the pool. He stayed in the shade for our whole pee break. He has lots more fur than me so he gets really hot and tired in this heat and humidity. Mommy thinks maybe she'll have his fur shaved off. Sounds scary to me!

Billy is crazy. He doesn't even think it's hot! He just stands in the sun eating grass. He doesn't like my pool either! What a weirdo.

Party!

I got to have my birthday party! Mom and Dad needed to be cheered up, so us dogs tried our very best. We had twinkie birthday cake, and I got to go to Petsmart (BY MYSELF) to pick out my own new birthday toy! I got a rope chew toy. Mr. Billy keeps stealing it from me and is starting to make me angry.

Mom took lots of pictures and it was fun. I love birthdays.

Sad Birthday...

My cat-sister Iffie had to be "put to sleep" today. She was really sick and having trouble breathing this morning. My Mom and Dad took her to the doctor. They said her lungs were full of cancer that couldn't be operated on. Everybody was very sad, but they decided that this would be the best option.

We might wait to celebrate and have my birthday party until tomorrow.

Wow!

My diary page is featured and it's only my first day here! I wish I had more to bark about but it's almost nap time.

It's hot here today so if I go outside I'm going to lounge in my pool. Maybe I'll let Sam come in. I need a bigger pool so there is room for both of us. Billy is a scaredey-cat and won't come near the water.

Excited!

Saturday is my "birthday"! Mommy and Daddy are taking me to the store to pick out new toys for myself!
