Bio:
Ed is a classy dog, who has been our partner in crime for 15+ years. He came to us a flawless being, an athlete, hunter, guardian, a lover of adventure, highly intelligent and funny. Ed is a private dog with a tiny but strong grinch heart who is devoted to the few people and dogs he has allowed into his life. Still an active participant in his life he loves to do new stuff, go on long walks, and get new toys as often as possible. Ed often finds us "frustrating" and several times a day approaches different family members to glare & let us know he is disappointed with our performance. We are grateful to be his family. Friday January 28th 2005, we lost our Ed. It breaks my heart to say that our beautiful boy is gone. He loved his life to the last minute. We were so blessed to have shared our lives with him.

We are proud to welcome little scruffy Roosevelt to Ed's family. Rosie stayed with us for a few weeks while we let Ed make up his mind about the whole thing. He let us know that Rosie seems like a good kid and could stay on permanently.

Ed's fostering a bearded collie named Roosevelt. Rosie is a sweet happy guy from the wrong side of the tracks. Before he ended up at the Merced Shelter he ran out of food for awhile (he's a little thin) and had most of his front teeth broken off. He has some other health issues as well but is such a happy sweet guy. Ed thinks Rosie is ok.

Ed prefers that we do not refer to his new truck as a wheelchair. Because his spine is deteriorating the big guy was having some mobility issues. He still wants to go for long walks and run real fast, but it was getting a little difficult for him. He is not in any pain but he gets tired and the back legs give out pretty fast. So we got Ed some wheels to help out, actually it was a gift to Ed from an incredible couple and its probably one of the coolest things ever. The wheelchair is from eddieswheels.com a great company. Ed took to his wheels like he had always had them. He is such a trooper, nothing fazes him. The funniest thing is people keep asking if he is in training for weight pulling or something . "Why yes" we answer "He's a curly coated pit."
