Arrival Story:
We wanted another dog so our pug, Buddy, would have a pal. A friend of ours picked up Jack's brother, and told us that there were a few puppies left. We contacted the woman with the puppies and discussed the one's she had left. We were supposed to take the puppy with one blue eye and one brown eye, but when we walked in, Jack immediately jumped into my husband's lap and refused to move. It was kind of funny, because the woman who sold us Jack was planning on keeping him, but when she saw how he took to my husband, she could not deny that he needed to go home with us. The rest is history.

yeah, this is my new brother. He's actually like a big dog because he does tricks and lays down on command in mommy's lap. Can't ride him because he has issues, but what do I care about that? I like him all the same. I wouldn't let anyone saddle me up and ride me either. Mommy is just a sucker for the pets, practical or not. Rescue, rescue, rescue!

Running Away is Bad

I decided to take myself for a walk at 6 this morning. It was sunny and the birds were singing and the nice tenant upstairs left my gate open, so I thought I would take advantage of the situation and go take a poop without the pug up my butt for a change. Well, mommy didn't see things my way...She came after me yelling so loud that I thought it was a game of Jack-O Polo, so I ran up the block. By the time I got to the corner, the game became *#@!-O Polo, so I ran another block because I knew I was in for it the minute mommy caught me. I don't know why she was so upset...I mean, her slippers didn't even come off once. And no one was around at 6 in the morning to see her funny green robe. And she keeps saying she needs to get more exercise before summer comes...
Anyway, I think it was the not listening thing that got her all worked up. That and the fact that I was naked, so she had no collar to hang on to once she did catch up with me, which meant she had to try to carry all 80 pounds of me almost three blocks. Good thing she was smart enough to use the tie from her robe as a leash, because goodness knows I would not have been able to call 911 without any thumbs...and as much as she was huffing and puffing after less than a block, she would have been down for the count by the corner.
What a fun morning!!!

Hah! Dexter is getting his butt kicked by that little tiny kitty. She is the best thing that mommy ever did. It is so fun to watch Dexter get bit and swatted. He might finally learn that sticking his nose up the butts of his siblings is totally unacceptable and antisocial behavior. Yay!
