Being left on the porch until I can help him down

Arrival Story:
My cocker spaniel mix, Lucy, had taken off and the local shelter had picked her up. I went to get her and I seen 3 Shih Tzu's in a cage. They told us that the owner had been using them for breeding but said she was done with them and took them to the pound. I told my daughter about them and she had to get me one for an early birthday present. hehehe

Bio:
Originally we were told that they thought his name was Kennedy. He didn't seem to recognize it when I called him. I found out one of their names was Gizmo, when I said Gizmo he looked at me. I liked that name better anyway. That is how he got his name. ;-)

Hello all you sexy ladies! Have you missed me? I'm still as handsome as ever. ;-) My mom added some more pictures, in case you want to check them out. I just came by to update since I haven't been able to write in my diary for quite some time.

A couple of months ago mom & dad decided to bring another dog to live here. So, I have another brother. His name is Cloud. He's a pretty mellow guy most of the time but I have to calm him down sometimes. He is young & likes to play. He starts picking on Fox so Fox will play with him. When they get a little too close to me, I start barking to let them know I've had enough. I'm getting up there in age & I don't like all that commotion. When I bark, they listen. They know who the boss is around here! ha ha

Cloud has a couple of bad habits that mom is trying to break. One of them has to do with our dog toys. I love my toys. It don't matter if they are big or small. When mom & dad come home from somewhere, I always grab one of my toys & wag my tail so my mom will try to get my toy from me. It's a game we have played for years. UNTIL NOW! Well, we can still do it sometimes, but not every time like we used to. The reason, you ask? Because CLOUD takes all of our toys out the doggy door & either leaves them outside to get all dirty or he tears them up. If mom can't straighten him out, I will have to step up & let him know that it's time to stop this nonsense! I didn't say a word when he tore up some of our toys because we have a lot of them. Although, we have a lot less now! Hopefully, he will grow out of this soon! Lucy & Ginger still need to update their information so I have to say goodnight, my friends. Take care & send me a bone if you get a chance. :-) Love to all! Gizmo

I don't want nothing to do with that pond

So yeah... we all go up to the pond. When Koda & Fox saw the water, they started running & jumped in. Then Lucy jumped in. I decided I didn't even want to go in the pond area. I stayed outside the fence & just snooped around mamaw & papaws yard. Everyone seemed to be having fun, but I have my own ideas of fun.

After I checked out several things, I decided I would just go on back to the house & wait for everyone. I heard them holler for me so I went to the driveway so they could see that I was home safe.

Once everyone got back home, we all had to get a bath. I don't like the pond & I don't like baths. But, mom said I needed one too so I dealt with it. I must admit, it did feel pretty good.

Mom has to finish getting our food cooked & separated into our daily meals, so she said I have to finish writing.

They still know who is boss

I've eased up on my new brothers a little bit, but they still know I am the Alpha male. I may be a momma's boy & I may be little, but dynamite comes in small packages! Mom says I think I am king kong. It's not that... it's just that there are rules here (my rules) & I expect all new comers to follow those rules. I know I can be difficult to get along with sometimes, but I'm really a nice guy. Just ask my mom.....

Love to all,
Gizmo
