Dear diary,

I am so thankful to have so many wonderful dogster pals. As lots of folks know, I had a seizure last Tuesday. It was long and awful. Foaming at the mouth, Squat had to move the furniture so I wouldn't get hurt. I overheard Squat say it was one of the worst things she's ever seen.

I don't remember it, but according to Grandma Furless, Squat kind of lost her mind. I seized for about a minute and a half. Afterwards I was a little disoriented and paced around for a bit. I also pooed on the floor, which is totally unlike me. Cricket, in what I can only call a show of solidarity, pooed on the floor right next to my poo. She's good canine, that Cricket.

Squat called Tall in the middle of my seizure and he came running home from work. They took me right to the vet, and I checked out okay. My exam was fine and blood work was good. At this point, the vet said we should just sort of wait and see...and hope I don't have another seizure. Everyone is hoping it was a one time thing.

I've been fine since, knock on wood.

Truth be told, I'm not complaining about all of the extra loving I've been getting either...

I demand (yes, DEMAND!!!) more updates on the goings on in Izzard Land!!
Unacceptable, I say, to have to wait and wait for an update on one of my favorite Beezars!

Oh how I worried! I shall poo on the floor too, in a sign of solidarity, if it means more frequent updates from you :)

Keep on being fine, Izzie ... those seizure things scare the peeps. (If it makes you feel better, if I had been there I would have pooed also. In fact, perhaps I'll join in with Izzy and poo right here, just to help you out.)

Smooches,
Abby

Knockin' on wood!!
That minute and a half must've seemed like forever. My mom would have lost her mind too!!...We hope it came back and proves to be just a one time thing, like the seizure.
Lovin's to you and your supportive sister :)

Oh Izzie! We've been so worried about you. Thanks for the update. The secretary knows how scary a seizure can be. Our sweet Carmella was overwhelmed with seizures before her untimely passing at 5 months and the secretary was in continual tears about it for ages afterwards and during. (Your seizure could not be the same reason as Carmella's. Hers was due to distemper and a problem with her distemper shots as a pup. Very sad.)

Oh Izzie - glad you're okay! I had a two seizures about 4 years ago. Same thing - it was awful, but I came back from the vet with a completely clean bill of health.
I have had one minor one since, but that's it - and I'm as ever the picture of doggie health.
I hope this is the case for you, too!
