Storm has given us a great recipe for a new drink, which we are featuring from now on in our Moosehead Bar menu in Crushes. I thought I would take this opportunity to share it with everyone (and also put it somewhere so I don't forget how to make it!). Thanks for sharing Storm!
2 two-liters of fruit punch
1 two-liter of Sprite (7-UP would work, too)
1 container of orange sherbert
1 ice-cream scoop
1 HUGE bowl
1 bundt cake pan
I call this, "Storm's Refreshing Rain Punch" I'll explain what I'm doing while I am making it:
First, I'm pouring one full two-liter and one half of a two-liter of fruit punch into the bowl - but I'm being very careful so that I don't splash my white fur! Fruit punch can stain, after all.
Now I'm pouring the two-liter of Sprite in as well.
I'm going to take the last half of this two-liter of fruit punch and pour it into a container that I can put in the freezer. I like to use what it called a bundt cake pan because it makes a pretty ring when liquid is frozen in it. I'm sticking it in the freezer now...
...but I actually snuck in last night and froze one already! I'll take that out of the freezer now and set it on the counter so that it melts just enough to get out of the bundt cake pan.
Now I'm going to scoop some of the orange sherbert into the huge bowl with the fruit punch and Sprite in it. For a bowl this size, I'll put somewhere around 3-5 BIG scoops in - but it really depends on how much you like sherbert!
Finally, I'm going to (carefully!) drop our frozen fruit punch ring into the bowl. This will keep the punch cool for a long time!
I'm going to gently stir it with this ladle now so that the sherbert kind of mixes in with the punch. It's fun to have scoops of sherbert floating in it, though, so I'm not going to stir it in entirely! It will slowly dissolve until you have a nice, fruity, bubbly, and smooth punch that My Person claims was always a big hit at her parties.
