Arrival Story:
My dad called and told me he knew of someone who had lab pups for giveaway and he was thinking about getting one. I was certainly not in the market for a dog, but a couple of hours later I decided to ask my landlord and he said yes. There was a yellow female left and I asked my dad to pick it up. He drove out after work the next day (he had decided puppies were not in the game plan for him until his house is built) and called to tell me that there was only one puppy left--a black female. Did I want her? I was so puppy-excited by then that of course I did. Now I wouldn't trade her for all the yellow puppies in the world!

Bio:
Ellie was just diagnosed with hip dysplasia at 5 1/2 months of age. It's somewhat a bummer, but knowing about it early will hopefully help us out in the long run. She's started glucosamine and is reducing food intake to stay slim. We don't know much about the disease yet, but as it progresses, we'd be happy to provide you with info if you need it! E-mail us!
