Cuddling, sleeping in laps, being with her pack.
Pet-Peeves:
Being alone.
Favorite Toy:
Rosie will make her own toy out of whatever isn't locked up, however she really enjoys it when we allow her to bring sticks into the house. It creates quite a mess, but definately saves wear on our furniture.
Favorite Food:
Meat flavoured dog treats, or hotdogs.
Favorite Walk:
Rosie enjoys the outdoors. Her favourite walks involve plenty of off-leash times, and preferably other dogs to play with.
Best Tricks:
In her last class Rosie won the award for 'best trick'... unfortuantely we showed about 15, so we're not exactally sure which trick won. When we find out I'll update this.
Arrival Story:
Rosie was part of a litter born on January 1st, 2004. Her brothers and sisters had all been sold, but she had been kept back because her owner liked her the most, her mother started to indicate that she wasn't going to tolerate her much longer though, so 8 weeks after she was born we took Rosie into our apartment, and into our hearts.
Bio:
Rosie was sold to us as a pit bull. Because of the public's reaction to the name we've be forced to refer to her as a staffordshire terrier, just to keep people from getting off the elevator when she gets on. She is the sweetest dog immaginable though, and doesn't let this bother her. She loves people, and playing with other dogs.
In her puppy kindergarten class we were told that Rosie is quite smart, and has a great temperment. Because of this we were encouraged to go on into competitive obedience classes. They all agreed that Rosie could be an ambasidor for the breed, showing what they're really capable of and trying to restore the name. If she was to compete, we'd definately enter her as a pit bull, to show just how great these dogs are. Most recently, on August 16th 2004 Rosie graduated from her competitive obedience II class, as the top dog. We're all very proud of her.
