Quick Bio:

BALLS. And walks. And having the top of my head scratched until there's no fur left.

Don't touch my underbelly with your foot-that really ticks me off.

Favorite Toy:
I love empty 2 litre Diet Coke bottles that my dad gives me and BALLS and when Mom hands me a naked kitchen towel roll after she pretends she's a cow and goes "MOOOOOO" into it. She thinks she's being so funny.

Favorite Food:
I like to lick empty yogurt cups and I LOVE toast!

Favorite Walk:
The forest at the end of Woodlands Ride

Best Tricks:
I am really clever. I can do a million neat tricks. I just won't let my parents see them. Ever.

Arrival Story:
Mom and Dad told me they saw a program on TV about Cardigan Corgis one night several years ago, and the dogs just captivated them. Dad (the smart one) got on the Internet and located a breeder who had some pups available, and within a month they had the supreme pleasure of my presence in their insignificant little lives. Sigh. They are so lucky to have found me.

My fancy schmancy name is Rhiwelli Blue Moon and I hail from Aberystwyth, Wales. The "Blue Moon" refers not only to my colour but to the song of the same name, which is sung by the supporters of Dad's football team, Manchester City.

Forums Motto:
Where is my tennis ball?????????????????

Wow. A lot has happened since my last entry. First of all, I am now officially a TEXAN dog! We moved from England three weeks ago and I have been getting settled slowly but surely. It was a wild day when we moved: lots of new experiences! Taking a plane for the first time, and a LONG ride to boot, but I was treated like the VIC (Very Important Cardigan) that I am. It was really wonderful, and I have a new BFF in the form of Marybeth at American Airlines in London. :o)
Now I am getting used to being an American Dog. It's awfully flat, brown and dry here-I will surely miss my walkies in the woods and forests of my homeland but I will be OK. I have my two peeps who take such good care of me and spoil me in so many other ways!
Now, on the serious side, something I never told you, but over two years ago I had a very serious back injury and ruptured 3 vertebrae in the middle of my long back. Luckily it was caught immediately and the most wonderful surgeon on the planet, Noel Fitzpatrick, took care of me and put me back together again. Turns out I have a genetic flaw that gave me a very dodgy spine (IVDD) so now I have to take it easy cuz I am getting on in years and am a bit brittle,I guess. No more jumping or crazy stuff nor very long walks (that we all loved dearly) but I am just happy to still be around, enjoying life. So for all you long-backed doggies out there, PLEASE take care of yourselves and just in case, don't jump in and out of your car, or do anything that may hurt you. And tell your humans too!
Love and wet kisses to you all and I hope to meet other TX Cardis soon!

OK. I can feel it in the air. Something is about to change. I think it's that my brother is about to return to school. So one less body around the house again, darn. But we had a good couple of months, even if Mom did abandon me again for 3 weeks and left me with Dad and his different approach to Dog Care. Actually, it's nice cuz after work he would open the back door and just let me do my own thing(Mom hardly ever lets me do that cuz she's afraid I'll never return but I always do) It was awfully HOT here this year while she was gone, much to my chagrin. I spent more than one night cooling off on the kitchen floor instead of ensconced in my normal, favored position of Surrogate Mom on her side of the bed.(Good thing Dad is a sound sleeper) Anyway, I'm happy that the weather has turned cool again. And soon it will be all rainy and dismal with lots of nice sloppy puddles to walk through and get disgusting in. My favorite time of year! (I'm from Wales after all)

Hooray! She's home!

Geez, FINALLY mom came home the other day. I mean, I really really like Dad and all, and I was having a great time with Dino but nothing compares to having Mom around. She is my main squeeze (but I don't like to let her know that or else she will get all mushy and try to kiss me). We have already been on all our favorite walks together again, but this morning it is rather wet and miserable so we're having a lie-in. Well, -I- am at least; her feet are right at my dozing head. Ahhh, the good life.
